Fiona retired from UK Government after 36 years’ service, where she was a director in the Home Office, leading the teams looking after and processing asylum seekers. Prior to that she spent four years as the Department for Work and Pensions’ Director for Wales, running job centres and contact centres across the country. In 2020 she was awarded an OBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours for services to unemployed people in Wales.

Fiona brings with her extensive experience of leading large, complex operations, and has a passion for supporting vulnerable people and those who need extra help. She is also trustee for Prime Cymru – a charity that helps older people back into work/entrepreneurship.

Fiona is married with a son, daughter, and two granddaughters. She enjoys walking, running, swimming and spending time with her family.
