Emergency repairs
A repair is considered an emergency if there is a significant risk of imminent harm to anyone in the household and where major damage to the property could occur.
Some examples of standard emergency repairs are below for guidance. Please note that other repairs can be classed as an emergency where there are specific personal circumstances or vulnerabilities within your household that significantly increase the risk of harm.
- An immediate danger or health hazard to occupants
- Serious damage to the property
- No essential services i.e light, power, water and sanitation
- Serious flooding and leaks
- Lift breakdowns
- Damage to doors or windows that makes the home insecure
- Blocked toilet (if there is only one)
- Dangerous walls and other elements.
