So that you receive the correct housing costs in your Universal Credit payment, you must update the rent amount on your Universal Credit account.

It needs to be done from today (1st April 2025).

Some tenants are on fixed rent and service charges and will be able to report all their new increases from today.

Others on variable contracts, will need to report new rent for 2025/26 and old service charges from 2024/25 today, and then new rent and new service charges on the 7th April.
