Thanks to the kindness of our contractors, the generosity of our staff, and a link up with our local MP, Easter is set to be a little brighter for people across Neath Port Talbot this year.

Through a combination of community benefit donations from contractors, our Acts of Kindness fund run by staff and a link up with “The Everyone Deserves an Easter” campaign more than 135 gifts have been donated, helping spread smiles where they’re needed most.

Contractor Jeff Way kindly donated 20 Easter eggs, which went to local children who may have otherwise gone without.  

Our incredible Tai Tarian staff bolstered our Acts of Kindness fund to deliver 22 Easter eggs to Woodside House Care Home, 23 to Bulldogs Boxing Community who support young people through mentoring and boxing in Port Talbot with a further 20 eggs donated to families in Dyffryn Cellwen, putting smiles on the faces of little ones.

But the generosity didn’t stop there.

We also proudly supported the Everyone Deserves an Easter Campaign after being approached by MP Carolyn Harris.

This campaign follows on from the very successful Everyone Deserves a Christmas campaign which we lent a hand to, where thousands of Christmas hampers were created and delivered to families in need over the festive season.

The "Everyone Deserves an Easter" campaign is an initiative to ensure that no one misses out on Easter celebrations, especially those who may be struggling financially. The campaign aims to provide food hampers with Easter treats and chocolate eggs to families in need, ensuring they can enjoy the holiday. 

As part of the campaign the MPs office for Neath and Swansea East have provided 25 hampers, with Tai Tarian funding an additional 25.  The Hampers are packed with goodies and Tai Tarian have identified 50 tenants who may struggle to enjoy Easter due to financial worries or recent experiences such as personal tragedy.

Each hamper was delivered on Maundy Thursday to bring a little bit of joy, demonstrating the difference spreading kindness can have.
