The re-development of the Rofton Bungalows site in Cwmafan has taken a significant step forward with the final demolition of the last of the 1950s prefab homes.

The 30 homes, which had come to the end of their natural life are being replaced with 43 new environmentally friendly properties.

Work on the site started last year, with the new homes quickly shooting up. The first ones should be ready for tenants to move in later this summer. Now, with the last of the old homes gone, it’s full steam ahead for the rest of the site, with the final homes due to be ready in spring 2026.
