Final schools visits complete

Thursday 17 July 2025

As we come to the end of the academic year, we’re celebrating the final visits of our schools engagement programme, a key part of our commitment to educating and inspiring future generations about biodiversity and sustainable planet.

Our last visits took us to St Therese’s Catholic Primary School and Rhos Primary School, where pupils took part in fun and educational sessions focused on protecting and enhancing nature in their communities.

The sessions included the usual classroom based workshop followed by a special visit from our much-loved bee mascot Barnabee, who always creates a buzz of excitement!

A huge thank you to Carl F Group, our contractor who supported these final sessions and generously donated biodiversity gifts to the schools.

Carys Hope, our customer and community engagement officer said:

“We are in a climate emergency, so it’s more important than ever that we all do our bit for nature. Being able to visit local schools to share our knowledge with pupils is fantastic, especially as they share our passion for the planet.”

This year’s programme has been a great success and we’re already looking forward to creating even more buzz next term.
