Senior Management Team

Tai Tarian is run by our senior management team, which consists of the chief executive, deputy chief executive and three directors.

Each member of the senior management team is responsible for one of the organisation's five directorates. They are supported by our heads of service and our dedicated staff.

Linda Whittaker

Chief Executive

Linda has over 25 years’ experience in housing, starting as an accountant in the private sector with a number of small housing association clients. She then spent eight years working within a large Welsh association in senior finance positions before moving to a smaller association as a director.

Linda then worked as a consultant before joining the Welsh Government in a finance role. From there she was promoted to director of housing for Wales, overseeing a number of stock transfers as well as having responsibility for the regulation of social landlords in Wales.

She was appointed the chief executive of Tai Tarian in 2010.

Claire Maimone

Deputy Chief Executive

Claire began her career as an environmental health officer, specialising in private sector housing and was responsible for managing the private sector housing, building control and housing grant teams with the former Lliw Valley Borough Council.

Prior to joining Tai Tarian, she worked for Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council, managing the housing grant and regeneration teams, before taking over responsibility for the management of council housing and housing option services.

Director of Operations

Clare started her career as a student with Newport City Council and was sponsored to complete a masters in housing at Cardiff University. Clare subsequently worked for two other local authority areas holding positions in housing management, supported housing and strategy.

Andrew Carey

Director of Assets

Andrew started his career in the private sector working for a national house builder, working on site management before moving to development. He then moved on to managing one of Wales' first cross-sector funded schemes.

He also developed a multi-million pound regeneration project in Cardiff before working extensively on creating a delivery strategy for a housing association in Cardiff to deliver the WHQS programme.

Nick Tagg

Director of Finance

Nick studied Law at UCL before training as a Chartered Accountant with PwC.  He has also undertaken several commercial and operational roles, which bring a broader business perspective to his finance leadership. 

Nick also has experience of leading finance and broader organisational change across a number of different sectors.
