Ysgol Tyle’r Ynn Next in Line for Community Challenge Makeover
Ysgol Tyle’r Ynn in Briton Ferry is set to become the latest project to undergo a makeover as part of NPT Homes’ Community Challenge.
Volunteers from NPT Homes and its contractor SERS Energy Solutions will spend a day installing new raised beds, painting benches and planters and doing some DIY improvements.
The school’s Headteacher, Siân Hart said:
“We were delighted to be chosen to be part of NPT Homes’ Community Challenge this year. Parts of the school grounds could do with a bit of refreshing and we can’t wait for the work to begin. We are really grateful to NPT Homes and SERS Energy Solutions for volunteering to help out. I’m sure the children will really benefit from the work.”
Andrew Dunn, Business Development Manager of SERS said:
“We are delighted to be partnering NPT Homes again this year on their Community Challenge project. Giving something back to the communities in which we work is very important to us as a company and we hope we can provide the children of Ysgol Tyle’r Ynn with a play area that they can be proud of.”
The Community Challenge programme involves NPT Homes’ main contractors and suppliers, and will see projects from across the Neath Port Talbot borough benefit from free building or maintenance work.
The challenge begun as a direct result of the community benefits that became part of all contracts drawn up by NPT Homes. As a result, any business that works directly with the social housing provider must give something back to the community.
The work at Ysgol Tyle’r Ynn is scheduled to take place on Friday 2nd June 2017.
