New housing development opens in Neath
Tai Tarian has officially opened a new housing development in Neath today.
The four new one bedroom flats in Wembley, Pencaerau will help to meet the demand for more local housing.
The development, which received a Social Housing Grant from Welsh Government, was built in partnership with local building firm, Jistcourt.
The project was also supported by Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council.
Tai Tarian Director of Assets, Steve Tucker, said, “We are extremely pleased to have completed another new development which will provide much needed additional homes in Neath.
“We are also very happy to have again worked closely with another local contractor in Jistcourt, meaning as much of the investment as possible is retained within Neath Port Talbot.
“We are delighted with the finished building and hope that the new tenants will be very happy living there.”
The four new flats, which are in a two storey building, have been built on the site of a former car park which was no longer used by local residents.
The flats have one bedroom, living room, bathroom and kitchen, and have a drive leading to car parking spaces at the rear of the development.
All four flats have already been let and the new tenants have just moved in.
Jistcourt, who built the development, said they were delighted with the success of the project.
Director Rob Norman said “As a local business, we were delighted to work in partnership with Tai Tarian, to deliver this exciting new development and provide additional living accommodation for local tenants.
“We take pride in being at the forefront of construction excellence and are so excited to see the new homes ready to be lived in.”
The Wembley flats are the latest new builds to be delivered by Tai Tarian and follow on from the recent opening of two bungalows in Moorland Road, Port Talbot.
