Tai Tarian is to be commended for their holistic approach to mental health and wellbeing.”

That’s the findings of a team from Public Health Wales who have revalidated the Neath Port Talbot Housing Association’s existing Healthy Working Wales Gold Award. That standard represents the Welsh national quality mark for health and wellbeing.

The assessors said they heard many examples where a real difference to both individuals and teams had been experienced, and that health and wellbeing in the Baglan-based organisation is ‘not just a tick box’.

Now that Tai Tarian have secured their enhanced status check for another 12 months, the company is now working to get its Platinum Standard in Corporate Health revalidated.

Kelly Mordecai is from Tai Tarian’s Organisational Development section and explained what getting the Platinum standard re-assessed meant:
“Having a Platinum status is the standard we are meeting when it comes to fulfilling our environmental and social governance (ESG) goals. Those the things in our corporate Plan that relate to our sustainable homes, sustainable communities and sustainable planet priorities.

“This underpins pretty much everything we do, from transport and facilities to skills and community engagement, there will be a lot of material in this assessment.”
