Tenants enjoying the Big Christmas Lunch

Tenants of NPT Homes have got together to start their festive celebrations with a Big Christmas Lunch.

The get together took place last weekend at the Four Winds Hotel in Aberavon and saw over 50 tenants celebrate the festive season in style.  They enjoyed a four course Christmas lunch, plenty of fun and games as well as entertainment from the Port Talbot Cymric Choir and NPT Homes resident John Thomas.

Tenants took part in a Christmas hat competition with the winner being chosen by Father Christmas and his Elf.  There was also a Christmas jumper competition as well as games of bingo and a raffle.

June Brayley was one tenant who enjoyed herself at the lunch.  She said:
“The Big Christmas Lunch was a wonderful event.  It was a great opportunity to get together with my fellow tenants and to enjoy a fun filled afternoon of entertainment and delicious food.”

Amy Hines, NPT Homes Tenant Empowerment Officer who helped organise the event said:
“I’m glad so many of our tenants took the opportunity to socialise with other residents and to celebrate Christmas in style.  We’d like to thank the Four Winds Hotel for hosting us as well as contributing a prize for the best Christmas jumper competition.  We are also grateful to Aldi and Pineapple Furniture for the contributions they made that helped ensure the success of the day.”

NPT Homes’ Tenant Empowerment team organises a range of social events for tenants aged 55 or over throughout the year.  If you would like information on events planned for 2017 please get in touch with Amy Hines on 01639 508455 or amy.hines@npthomes.co.uk
