Tai Tarian women shortlisted for national award
Tai Tarian’s Corporate Services team have been shortlisted for an industry award.
The team, which is predominately female, has been recognised in the Team of the Year category at the annual Women in Housing awards.
Now in their seventh year, the national awards recognise and celebrate the achievements of women working in the housing sector. They recognise the great individuals and high performing teams who make a difference in their industry.
The Corporate Services team is made up of six people, four of whom are women. They are also led by a female director. They were shortlisted on the basis of the work they do to ensure Tai Tarian operates in accordance with regulatory and legal rules.
Amongst the reasons for their shortlisting was their innovative and proactive approach to raising awareness amongst staff of the introduction of the new GDPR regulations. Their campaign focussed on different scenarios and asked staff if they thought a breach had occurred. This prompted much discussion amongst staff and ensured the new regulations were high on everyone’s agenda.
In addition, the work they do with Tai Tarian customers in reviewing performance and reporting the progress of the organisation to the Board was also highlighted, as was the full governance review undertaken by the team.
Reacting to the news that they had been shortlisted, Angela Priestley, Head of Corporate Services at Tai Tarian said:
“As a team, we’re extremely happy to have been nominated for this award. Everyone in the team is committed to achieving the highest possible standards and it’s only right that their continued commitment to an organisation, which is achieving great things for their communities, is recognised in this way.
The Women in Housing awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 10th October at Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester.
