Tai Tarian scoops two procurement gongs at Go Awards Wales

Tai Tarian is celebrating after bagging two awards at the Government Opportunities (GO) Excellence in Public Procurement Awards Wales.

The social housing provider were named as winner of the Social and Community Benefit in Procurement Award and were highly commended in the Procurement Team of the Year Award.

The awards, which were supported by Welsh Government and Procurex Wales, recognised the contribution of individuals, teams and organisations across the public, private and third sectors in delivering effective and efficient procurement services.

In the Procurement Team of the Year Award, Tai Tarian was highly commended for developing stakeholder engagement of procurement, delivering an improved organisation wide buy-in for the process and receiving the highest level of assurance from auditors for its procurement activity.

In the Social and Community Benefit in Procurement Award, Tai Tarian's Copper Foundation project, which gives long term unemployed people a route back into work, impressed the judges for its impact in the community and corporate social responsibility. As a result of winning this award, Tai Tarian will be fast-tracked as finalists into the UK National GO Awards 2019/20, which take place in Birmingham on 30 April 2019.
