Seafront flats ready for first tenants
Twenty new seafront homes will soon be opening their doors to new tenants in Aberavon, as the iconic County Flats redevelopment continues.
Golwg Dur is a five-storey block of one-bedroom apartments, and its completion marks the end of the first phase of the eco-friendly redevelopment of the historic County Flats.
Natasha Roberts from the Allocations and Lettings team said:
“For a long time, those local to the development will have seen the old flats transform into these landmark buildings. It's great that the light and airy units of Golwg Dur will soon be ready to allocate to new tenants.
“The units have all been built to the highest energy efficiency rating, which will not only push down the cost of heating their home for residents but helps reduce the impact on the climate as we continue with our push towards Net Zero.”
Technology such as solar panels and air source heat pump systems are also installed. The flats benefit from features such as open plan kitchens, parking, a video entry system for extra security, storage space and spacious bedrooms.
