NPT Homes

NPT Homes is inviting tenants to attend a focus group to discuss the forthcoming changes to housing benefit and the roll-out of Universal Credit.

The changes will affect tenants who are aged under 35, single and with no children and it’s that group who are urged to come along to find out more. The group will discuss the changes to benefits and find out how they will significantly affect people. The participants will also be encouraged to share ideas with each other on how to overcome the changes.

The focus group is being held in conjunction with Coastal Housing Group and will take place at St Paul’s Centre in Gerald Street, Port Talbot on Tuesday 11th October between 2-4pm.

Tenant Empowerment Officer at NPT Homes, Janet Weaver said:

“The changes to the benefit system could have a significant impact on some of our tenants. We are strongly urging anyone who is affected to come along to hear how the changes might impact upon them. It will be an open discussion and we are really keen to hear the views of our tenants.

Any tenant who wishes to come along or requires any more information can contact Janet Weaver on 01639 505922 or e-mail janet.weaver@npthomes.co.uk
