NPT Homes’ Street Squad Visits Port Talbot
After the success of its first Street Squad event in Maes Gareth Edwards in August, NPT Homes’ second Street Squad event will be visiting Penllyn in Cwmavon on Wednesday 16th September between 2.30pm – 4.30pm.
After speaking to residents to find out what is needed to enhance the area that they live in, NPT Homes staff will be joined by Keep Wales Tidy and local residents to carry out a community clean up as part of Keep Wales Tidy month.
In support of Keep Wales Tidy month, NPT Homes will also provide a free skip to help residents dispose of waste and larger items.
As part of NPT Homes’ second Street Squad event, Groundworks Cymru will also be introducing safe yet exciting outdoor games and activities known as sustainable play for the local children. As this event falls during Gas Safety Week, tenants will also be able to find out more about the importance of gas safety and how it can save lives.
NPT Homes’ Community Regeneration Coordinator, Nicole Barnes, said:
“After the success of our first Street Squad event we are holding our next session in Cwmavon. This is a great opportunity for residents to get involved and get stuck in to improving the areas they have identified to us such as litter and fly tipping.
Street Squad is just one of the many projects we provide for local residents and we hope by working with tenants we will be able to maintain our attractive community together.”
