NPT Homes Set to Honour Outstanding Tenants

Tue 21 Jun 2016

2014 Tenant Awards winner Cheryl Smith

Nominations are now open for NPT Homes Tenant Awards scheme. This year sees the introduction of two new categories - Community Group of the Year and Good Neighbour of the Year

The Community Group of the Year will be awarded to a tenant or tenants who undertake voluntary work which has a positive impact on the community in which they live. This could include community safety groups, neighbourhood action groups or even social groups.

The Good Neighbour Award will be awarded to an NPT Homes tenant that has been nominated as going the extra mile. It could be something simple such as checking on elderly or vulnerable neighbours or putting their bins out. Alternatively, it could be someone who organises local clean-ups or represents the community on residents groups.

Tenant Empowerment Officer Lynsey Hargreaves said:

“These awards are a great way of showing our tenants that all the hard work and time they have given in shaping their local communities doesn’t go unnoticed.

If one of our tenants knows someone who makes a real difference to their neighbourhood, then I would urge them to make a nomination to ensure that they get the recognition they deserve.”

The awards will be presented at the organisation’s AGM in July.

Nominations can be made by e-mailing involved@npthomes.co.uk or by filling in a nomination form at NPT Homes’ Head Office in Baglan or at one of the satellite offices at Windsor Road, Neath, Forge Road, Port Talbot or Holly Street, Pontardawe.
