NPT Homes Provides Free First Aid Courses for Local Sports Teams
NPT Homes is offering another round of free first aid courses to help support sports teams from across the Neath Port Talbot Borough.
The three hour course will be held on Monday 11th July and will be run by Hands On First Aid Training at NPT Homes’ training centre in Briton Ferry.
Interested clubs are asked to get in touch with NPT Homes by calling 01639 505857 or emailing Jordannah.britton@npthomes.co.uk.
Keen to give back to the local community, NPT Homes has already provided coaches at several sports clubs with emergency first aid training.
Amongst the clubs to have benefitted from previous sessions are Ynysygerwn Cricket Club, Neath Afan Gymnastics, Bryncoch RFC and Llandarcy AFC.
Speaking on behalf of Neath Afan Gymnastics, Sam Pascoe said:
“The courses run by NPT Homes were very enjoyable and informative. We learned a great deal and would thoroughly recommend other sports organisations in the area take up this opportunity.”
Kelly Andrews from Margam Youth Club who attended the last course added:
“Thanks to the course I feel much more confident in my ability to deal with emergency situations now which will benefit Margam Youth Club and myself.”
NPT Homes’ Corporate Services Officer, Karen Neale, said:
“We have had many requests over the years for sponsorship from local sports clubs but rather than sponsor individual clubs we wanted to help as many as possible. We identified a demand for first aid training and have run several sessions for mini and junior team coaches so far.
All sessions have been very well received so I would urge any local clubs that haven’t benefited yet to book on for the next training course which takes place in July. All we ask in return is for clubs to include us on their websites and invite us along to events during the year such as local tournaments.”
