NPT Homes Offer Tenants Advice on Managing their Money

Wed 21 Dec 2016

The Universal Credit team

NPT Homes is advising tenants worried about their finances as they approach the end of the year to contact its specialist teams.

The housing provider has Financial Inclusion and Universal Credit teams ready to offer advice and information to tenants on managing their money and to ensure that they are claiming the benefits that they are entitled to.

The teams can help tenants submit benefits claims, offer budgeting and money advice and even help with Jobcentre appointments.

Simon Jones, Universal Credit Officer at NPT Homes said:
“The new year can be a difficult time for some of our tenants.  As well as all the extra spending over Christmas, this time of year can also mark the end of many people’s temporary employment as seasonal jobs come to an end.  This can have a knock on effect on their income and what benefits they can claim as they move forward into the New Year.

With this in mind, it’s important that tenants know that we are here to help them and I would urge anyone with concerns to contact us via the details below.”

If you are an NPT Homes tenant and would like help or advice on managing your finances or what benefits you’re entitled to then contact:
Universal Credit – 01639 315000; universalcredit@npthomes.co.uk
Financial Inclusion – 01639 506623; financialinclusion@npthomes.co.uk

Please note NPT Homes offices will be closed between 1pm on Friday 23rd December and re-open again on Tuesday 3rd January.  During this time any tenants requiring help or advice can leave a message and the team will contact them back in the New Year.
