NPT Homes Invests Millions of Pounds in Building New Homes
NPT Homes has announced two brand new developments aimed at increasing the social housing stock in the Neath area.
The social housing provider, working in partnership with Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council, will invest a total of £2.15 million in building a range of properties in the Skewen and Melyn areas. The projects, which have both received Social Housing Grants from Welsh Government, will see a total of 21 new homes being built across the two sites.
The biggest development will take place on the site of the old Cartref flats in Burrows Road in Skewen. The existing building will be demolished and will be replaced by 12 flats, four houses and a bungalow. The project will be carried out by Neath-based contractors, Hale Construction who will begin the project in April 2017 with the work expected to be completed by next spring.
At Wembley in Melyn, a total of four, one bedroom flats will be built by local firm Jistcourt. Work is due to begin in April 2017 and is scheduled to be completed by the autumn.
