NPT Homes' Community Challenge 2016

For the fourth year running, NPT Homes is on the hunt for community projects in need of a transformation.

The Community Challenge is a joint partnership programme with its main contractors and Spotless Recruitment. It allows different community projects to benefit from a day of free building or maintenance work.

So far the Community Challenge has completed 10 transformations which included five schools, three community halls, a church and a childcare centre. The makeovers included the installation of new kitchens, bathrooms and pathways, internal and external decoration and the creation new raised planters and outdoor learning spaces.

To be in with a chance of winning, all groups need to do is complete an application form which can be found here, at any NPT Homes office or by contacting the Community Regeneration Team on 01639 506603/ regeneration@npthomes.co.uk.

Previous winner Sarah Davies, Chair of St Mary’s Church Hall Committee, reflected on the impact the project made to her:

“We were delighted to be picked to benefit from NPT Homes’ Community Challenge. Our hall is a busy hub in the local community, not only for the parish but also for many other members of the local community. The work has made a real difference to us and I want to thank NPT Homes and its contractors for their support.”

NPT Homes’ Funding Officer, Andrew Hall, added:

“After the great success of our previous Community Challenge projects we are happy to bring the project back for its fourth year. I would encourage any local group in need of a makeover to get their applications in as the project really does make a difference!”

Application forms must be returned to NPT Homes’ Community Regeneration Team by Friday 12th February 2016.
