Information Day Set to Help Tenants Save Money
Tai Tarian, in conjunction with Coastal Housing Group, is to host a money saving information event next month in a bid to help people manage their finances.
The drop-in event will be held between 10am-4pm on Thursday 2nd November at Briton Ferry Community Centre. It will feature a number of information stalls as well as exhibitions advising visitors on how they can make their money go further.
Some of the organisations who’ll be in attendance will be the Neath Port Talbot Credit Union, Careers Wales and the Wales Illegal Money Lending Unit.
There’ll also be advice available from Tai Tarian’s Universal Credit and Financial Inclusion teams as well as a chance to get involved with the housing provider’s Time Credits scheme.
In addition, there’ll also be craft stalls, up-cycling tips and activities for children. There’ll even be a free raffle to win some Morrison’s goodies.
Speaking ahead of the event, Tai Tarian Tenant Empowerment Assistant Alex Jenkins said:
“We are really looking forward to this event. It is a great opportunity for local residents to come along and discover some useful money saving tips.
We know that some families can struggle to make ends meet and can get themselves into financial difficulties as a result. Whilst this day is designed to be a fun, informative event, we do hope that anyone who is struggling to manage their money comes along and gets the help and advice they need.”
The event is free to attend and is open to everyone.
