Improvement Work Gets Seal of Approval from Tai Tarian Tenant
Tai Tarian’s on-going fabric programme to improve its properties has been praised by a tenant.
The work has seen houses and flats receive new roofing, external wall insulation and rendering where required, to ensure properties are well maintained and are more energy efficient.
Homes in the Sandfields area of Port Talbot are amongst the latest properties to be upgraded, and tenant Christina Pearce has praised the quality of the work.
Mrs Pearce said:
“I’m really impressed with the work that’s been done to my home. There was a lot to be done but Tai Tarian were really good and arranged for my new heating system to be installed at the same time as I had the wall insulation done, so that I wasn’t inconvenienced too much. The work was of an extremely high standard and has made a huge difference to my home.”
All staff were polite, hardworking and very considerate. They did a tremendous job. I’m also very impressed about how I was kept up-to-date by Tai Tarian during the work and that there was always someone on-hand to answer any queries or concerns that I had.”
Tai Tarian’s Tenant Liaison Officer, Steve Grey and Works Inspector, Layton Thomas were responsible for ensuring that the work to Mrs Pearce’s home was carried out efficiently and that she was kept informed throughout.
Speaking upon completion of the works, Steve Grey said:
“Receiving feedback from tenants is very important to us and we were thrilled to learn that Mrs Pearce was pleased with the results of the improvements to her home.
"It is our aim to ensure that any work we carry out to our tenants’ homes creates as little disruption as possible and I am delighted that we managed to do that here. We were particularly pleased to hear positive feedback about our contractors SERS and Neath Brickwork and the hard work, customer focus and attention to detail of their employees.
We are very grateful to Mrs Pearce for letting us know about her experience and we hope she continues to enjoy living in her home.”
