High Praise from Leaseholders for External Improvements
Tai Tarian’s on-going fabric programme to improve its properties has been praised by leaseholders in both Neath and Port Talbot.
The work has seen houses and flats receive new roofing, external wall insulation and rendering where required, ensuring homes are well maintained and more energy efficient.
As part of the improvement programme the social housing provider is working with external contractors Jistcourt and Sers with Tai Tarian’s team of Tenant Liaison Officers key to keeping people informed.
Homes in Caewern and Sandfields are amongst the latest properties to be upgraded, with leaseholders David Evans and Magarit & Vivian Metacalfe praising the quality of the improvements and the service from the teams involved.
Mr Metacalfe from Caewern, Neath said:
“I’m really impressed with the work that’s been carried out. It’s been of an extremely high standard and has made a huge difference to our building.
Although there was a cost to us it was very good value for money and has considerably enhanced the appearance of our home”.
His wife Mrs Metacalfe added:
“I can’t praise the staff enough, they were polite, hardworking and very considerate. They did a tremendous job. I’m also very impressed with how I was kept up to date during the works by our Tenant Liaison Officer, Lydia. She was always on hand to answer any questions that I had.”
Mr Evans of Sandfields, Port Talbot was equally happy with his improvements. He said:
“My flat is considerably warmer since having the external wall insulation work carried out. It has been money well spent!
It was a great effort from the entire team involved in the work, they kept me updated every step of the way, always available to answer queries. The service received has been excellent.”
Speaking upon completion of the works, Steve Grey, Tai Tarian’s Senior Tenant Liaison Officer said:
“Receiving feedback from our leaseholders and tenants is very important to us. We were particularly pleased to hear positive feedback about how well our staff and contractors have worked to deliver excellent service.
We hope Mr and Mrs Metacalfe and Mr Evans continue to enjoy living in their newly revamped homes.”
