A programmer for NPT Homes, responsible for the smooth running of a multi million pound programme has beaten off tough competition to be shortlisted for CIH Cymru’s Apprentice of the Year Award.

Stephanie Preedy has been with the social housing provider for four years. During this time she has completed her Level 2 Foundation Apprenticeship in Housing and is now studying for her Level 3 Award in Housing Practice. Undergoing the apprenticeship has not only helped her to develop her knowledge base but has also enhanced her on-the-job experience.

Since starting her career with NPT Homes Stephanie has shown an outstanding commitment to her work, with her people skills coming to the fore in her tenant facing role.

The winner of the Apprentice Award will be announced at CIH Cymru’s TAI 2017 Conference Gala Dinner on Wednesday 26th April.

Chief Executive Linda Whittaker said:

“Stephanie has really grown as a person thanks to her housing apprenticeship, giving her the knowledge to excel in her role.

She is always happy to help both tenants and colleagues alike and is a key member of the team.”

Stephanie added:

“I feel really privileged to have been shortlisted for the Apprentice of the Year Award and look forward to representing the organisation at the Tai Conference Dinner.”
