NPT Homes’ First Community Challenge Makeover Gets Underway
As part of NPT Homes’ 2016 Community Challenge, the first transformation is set to take place.
Starting on Wednesday 6th April, NPT Homes’ external works contractor R&M Williams will work tirelessly over three days to give the Apostolic Church in Cwmavon, Port Talbot a new lease of life.
On applying for NPT Homes’ 2016 Community Challenge, congregation member Michael Herd, requested a general clean-up of the much used venue which included internal and external painting.
R&M Williams have gone over and above what was expected and in addition to what was requested, R&M Williams will also be carrying out repairs to the leaking roof.
The church, which is used for community meetings, craft classes and as a voting station, in addition to service will be the first of the eight projects to benefit from NPT Homes’ 2016 Community Challenge.
Congregation member, Michael Herd, said:
“The Apostolic Church is only a small building but it is the only building in the area of Cwmavon suitable for all the events and meetings that it holds.
The building is in need of some love and attention and I’m so happy to have been selected for this year’s Community Challenge as it will really make a difference for those who use the church.”
Director, Marc Gilder from R&M Williams said:
“We are committed to giving back to the local community that we work in and throughout our contract with NPT Homes, we are delighted to be able to donate our skills and knowledge to benefit the wider community.”
