NPT Homes’ Contractors Give Back To The Community
NPT Homes’ contractors, R&M Williams and Pinnacle Scaffolding Access, show support to those who continue to support others.
The contractors, who are working with NPT Homes as part of its Welsh Housing Quality Standard programme, have lent a helping hand to the Port Talbot Foodbank by carrying out much needed maintenance and repairs to Tabernacle Chapel in Cwmavon.
R&M Williams painted the doors and the entire inside of the vestry while Pinnacle Scaffolding Access cleared a large area of overgrown brambles that the chapel was struggling to maintain. Pinnacle Scaffolding Access also repaired the fallen guttering and removed ivy that was growing on the chapel, the vestry and the front wall.
The foodbank in Tabernacle Chapel is open every Wednesday between 10am – 12 noon and provides food parcels to those facing food poverty in Neath Port Talbot.
NPT Homes’ Community Regeneration Coordinator, Nicole Barnes, said:
“All of the foodbanks within the borough are doing a fantastic job and we were more than happy to lend them a helping hand. We are committed to enhancing the areas that we work in and this is supported by the help of our contractors too. All of the contractors that work with us are required to contribute to the community by carrying our community benefit initiatives. This could include making a cash donation to a community project, providing work experience or carrying out improvement works like R&M Williams and Pinnacle Scaffolding Access.”
