NPT Homes Completes its Second Street Squad Visit
On Wednesday 16th September, NPT Homes was joined by Mi-space, Artisan Flooring and Keep Wales Tidy as it carried out its second Street Squad event in the Penllyn area of Cwmavon, Port Talbot.
After speaking to residents to find out what was needed to enhance the area that they live in, a community clean-up was carried out and a free skip was provided to help residents dispose of waste and larger items.
NPT Homes’ second Street Squad event also welcomed Groundworks Cymru who introduced safe yet exciting outdoor games and activities known as sustainable play for the local children.
NPT Homes’ Community Regeneration Coordinator, Nicole Barnes, said:
“Through working with Mi-space, Artisan Flooring, Keep Wales Tidy and local residents we had a very successful afternoon in Cwmavon and were able to fill three bags with litter and an entire skip.
The area looks a lot clearer and it was lovely to see so many people from the community getting involved and helping us to make a difference.”
Kathryn Britton from Keep Wales Tidy, said:
“We are always striving for a litter free Wales and this September we are encouraging people to take part in our ‘Be involved, Be proud and Be Tidy’ campaign.
We continue to work with NPT Homes and their community projects and together we can make Wales a tidier place to live.”
